Project Prom Dress Spotlight
Written by Annalisa Ciro
This April, Hopeloft is hosting our annual Project Prom Dress, organized by our Event Coordinator Hillary Nichols. The event is an effort to provide free prom dresses, shoes, and accessories to any teenagers in need of prom attire in Cumberland County during prom season.
This is Hillary’s second year hosting Project Prom Dress, and already she has seen a dramatic increase in the amount of dresses donated from local businesses and community members. While last year she collected around 100 dresses, this year she already has nearly 200 dresses and counting!
“This is an important event because everybody should be able to go to and enjoy their prom,” says Hillary. “Prom is an expensive night out and not everybody has the money to buy a dress, but everyone deserves the chance to have that special high school memory.”
If you are interested, contact Hillary at Hillary@hopeloft.com to schedule an appointment to pick out your favorite items! If you have donations, you are welcome to drop them off at Hopeloft on 40 East Commerce Street in Bridgeton from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, or contact Hillary via email to schedule a time.
