Back to School Event
Unidos para la Familia held two successful “Back-to-School” events to provide students with backpacks before the start of the school year. On August 27th, Unidos rented the Bridgeton Splash Park for families to cool off and enjoy the zero-depth water, while distributing backpacks to the students and information to the families regarding HSE, ESL, and tutoring programs. A follow-up event was held on September 2nd at the Hopeloft in Bridgeton. Families received upcoming information and backpacks by appointment only. Between these two events, a total of about 35 families were served. Many individuals look forward to ESL classes that will start back up next week (the week of September 21st). Unidos para la Familia works together with the people and families they serve to strengthen the whole family.
